I liked using the program Audacity to create my podcast because it was fun and easy to work with. I was inspired by “The Editor” to use an interview format to present my story. I liked being able to verbally tell my story, but felt that I could not get all of the details out that I wanted to because it would have been well over two minutes. I spent about 20 minutes on Friday writing the ‘script’ for my podcast. I spent around 5 minutes recording, and then about 20 minutes editing. When editing, I cut out several sections that I either messed up on or that you could hear pages flipping. This process did not take me a long time because I had a good understanding of how to use Audacity. Overall, I believe that the estimation of time investment given for the assignment was accurate.
I really enjoyed listening to your podcast. I think the format was really well structured and I thought that the idea of an interview was great! It really helped the audience understand how you felt when you had to answer questions that were directed towards your personal feelings when you were in school. I think if you add music in the background quietly it will add even more emotion to your podcast, but overall I enjoyed it!
Good job Tori! I really liked your podcast, I thought your ideas made in the podcast were very clear and had a lot of voice. Your podcast was well organized and easy to listen to. I f i were to suggest anything else, it would be to add in a little bit more connections with Dweck’s ideas but great job!
Hi, Tori,
I also liked your use of the interview format. Your focus on your conflict and movement from being an engaged, disengaged, and reengaged learner was interesting. I like your Emma’s suggestion of adding music. I would add that introducing yourself and creating a kind of podcast format would have rounded out the presentation, but it is well-done as it stands.
