In my Big Data essay, I used multiple forms of MLA in-text citation. For journal articles, I included the author’s last name and the page number. For regular articles, I only included the author’s last name. When citing a debate, I introduced the debate, then cited the debater’s last name. I also included a works cited at the end of my essay, which included full MLA citations for each of the sources I used. My citation skills in MLA format are strong because I have always used this format. Citations in English 110 have allowed me to practice my skills and apply them to new types of sources, such as journal articles and debates.
